Joining Couldn't be Simpler

The first step is to see if you like us. We think you will. Come to the pub where we meet any Tuesday night from around 9.15. The staff all know us and will point out who best to talk to. If you like, you'd even be welcome to join us at our pool for a swim first. Just turn up at either or both locations and introduce yourself.

We'll talk you through the things in this web site and answer any more questions you may have. Most of all it will give you an opportunity to meet our members and see how fun loving, easy going and welcoming they are.

If you are still not sure, you can come along to one of our pool session family nights (there's no charge if you become a member of CPA) and just see what goes on, or you can even have a full try-dive session on scuba gear with an instructor in the pool.



What do I need to start diving?
New students will be asked to provide their own Mask, Snorkel and Fins only. We provide all the other equipment FREE during your training. Don't rush out to but any equipment - talk to us first to get an understanding of what to buy and why.

Experienced and qualified divers are very welcome too - and we expect you to have your own scuba gear. However, we can rent and loan equipment to full members.

What does it cost to become a member of CPA?
New members will need to join both the Sub Aqua Association and the CPA club. The costs that you might expect to pay initially are as follows:
