CPA are going Skye Diving in 2007!

CPA are planning a big week of diving in Scotland, on the isle of Skye 15th to 20th September 2007. Bill Harrington is organising the week through an excellent skipper, Gordon Makay of Dive & Sea the Hebrides

Diving will be suitable for all club divers and will offer a range of wrecks and scenic diving, with the chance of diving with Basking sharks, Whales, Dolphins, all in good viz (can be 25 metres plus). For more info on the diving see above web site: www.dive-and-sea-the-hebrides.co.uk

The cost:-
The price includes 7 nights self catering accommodation, 12 boat dives, 12 air fills.
The price per head depends on numbers:-

12 divers = £299 p.p.

10/11 divers = £325 p.p.

8/9 divers = £350 p.p.

The more of us who go the cheaper it gets
Nitrox is not normally available; however they will get O2 in if we supply a qualified blender (David Jerram has volunteered and is a qualified gas blender).
For those who want, cylinder & weights are available to hire. This may be of use if flying up.

Alternatively, bring your cheque book to the club on any Tuesday night to arrange your booking.

For those who want it, Bill can arrange a separate B & B. Cost for the week per couple £350.00, normal cost £455.00. Please note this is a popular tourist area and B&Bs soon get fully booked, so if you want to go and have B&B then let Bill know ASAP. A deposit of £100 will be required. Please note to get this deal bookings will have to go via Bill.

The dive centre will only hold the provisional booking for a short time so the club needs you to commit ASAP. The full amount will be due on Tuesday the 31 July 2007 at the latest. (see PS below for possible ways to pay).

Past diving trips to west coast of Scotland, by the club, have been very successful and great fun. Any questions phone or speak to Bill at the pub.

Members are advised to take out travel insurance so as to cover deposits etc.

PS

Since sending out the original notice, Bill has suggested to the DO & committee that the club allows members to give the club pre-dated monthly cheques, up to a max of 8. These would be paid in each month to the club’s A/C, up to July 07, when the balance is due, the club then pays the amount due. This would work in lieu of deposit, the club having paid that.
i.e: Individual cost £300.00, divided by 8 = £37.50, therefore 8 cheques to club for £37.50 each dated say the 20th of Dec/Jan/Feb/ March etc. Those joining in later then greater the monthly amount.
Anyone dropping out would be expected to pay their share of the deposit. After July if anyone drops out, there would not be a refund unless someone fills the space. So, make sure you have cancellation/travel insurance
