INTRODUCTION
Welcome to this issue of CPA news - your monthly link to the CPA diving community and your dive club.
CPA has had a busy season of great diving, and we hope to bring you more stories and information about our current activities in the coming months. During the winter we are planning to do more pool and open water training, including rescue skills and refreshers. If you have not been along to the club for a while now is a great time to come back and get in shape, refresh your skills and learn something new.

CPA have an active program of hard boat dives planned for 2008. To book onto these events please contact the named organised or come along to the club to reserve your place.

CPA have a complete set of rib dates planned for the best tides. Ad-hoc diving days on good weather weekends will be made available to club members and notification will be by email or through discussion at the club and pub on Tuesday evenings.
Members of CPA rased £350 for the club by attending the Cookham Regatta as safety boat crew. On the morning of September 1st Andy hitched the Humber to his 4x4 and together with the day's crew (Martin Taplin, Richard Butterworth, Andy Hepburn and David J) set off to the scout camp at Longridge for a launch.

CPA are going to the Red Sea in 2008 aboard an excellent hardboat provided by Tony Backhurst Scuba.
We have organised a live-aboard trip from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh in 2008, during early ~September. We will be using the Tornado marine fleet (Winner of the "Best Liveaboard of the Year Award" for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 as voted by readers of "Diver Magazine").
Members of CPA are being invited to a weeks diving in the red sea in 2008.

AGM Results...
CPA held it's Annual General Meeting on 13th November
This years AGM proved to be the most relaxed in many year, with little or no argument and a good report from each of the existing committee members. The meeting was opened by Chairman Glyn Fox with a good summary of the diving season in 2007.
The end of the evening saw a great deal of fun in the form of the annual awards ceremony. This year the formal awards were a close run thing, with multiple votes for the Aquanaut and Mick Mercado trophies...
